How teachers use the curriculum
Choose Year A or Year B
Start by selecting which year your class is currently working through — each has its own set of four themes.
Select the learning theme
Pick the theme scheduled for the current weeks, or browse the Themes hub if you're planning ahead.
Open the lesson plan
Every theme's Resources section includes a full Lesson Plan (PDF) covering the two-week flow.
Access stories, phonics, songs, math, geography and outdoor activities
Each of the eight sections inside a theme gives you ready-to-teach content for that part of the day.

Common Questions
Do I have to follow the themes in order?
No — themes are designed to stand alone, so you can resequence them to fit your school calendar or class needs.
Can I mix Year A and Year B themes?
It’s designed as a two-year progression, but individual themes can be used on their own if a class needs extra reinforcement.

What age group is this curriculum designed for?
OliverReading K2 is written for 4–5 year old kindergarten learners across a two-year program.
